About the expeditions
With a low number of travelers it is possible to meet the interests and special desires of every participant in the expedition, and - at times spontaneously - incorporate local events or festivities. Personal and group experiences together with a strong spirit of adventure enrich each trip.
All our itineraries are planned, but not completely because adventure can not be planed and no expedition is identical to the previous one, since we continually adjust and enhance our service. It is important to remember that details of any particular program can be influenced by climatic and road conditions.
The average covered distances are between 200 and 400 kms per day, with stops and breaks in between to visit local points of interest, hiking or trekking, experiencing the splendor of nature or contact with local people.
We emphasize preservation of the environment. As travelers, we are responsible for protecting the sensitive flora and fauna of the virgin landscapes as well as the historical traces of ancient civilizations.
Accommodation
When we overnight in a city or town of major importance, we will stay in the most typical and pleasant hotels, in double rooms with private bath and breakfast service. In remoter places we will overnight in small hostels or in family houses. With customized expeditions we offer the alternative of tenting, as attractive option for a more flexible and spontaneous trip.
Companions
An experienced driver with mechanical and technical knowledge of the vehicle as well as of the region is in charge of the 4x4 transfer. A companion with good knowledge of English, Spanish and Portuguese is permanently available for coordination and to cater to the interests of the group and to help with communication with the local communities.
